Dallas Cowboys Breast Cancer Awareness
Breast Cancer Awareness Month is a time when people across the nation unite in support of those with the disease and their loved ones. Every October, we stand together to help the fight against breast cancer by raising awareness, donating funds, and participating in walks and runs around the world.
The Dallas Cowboys supports Breast Cancer Awareness every year through their partnership with Susan G. Komen. In 2010, the iPromise campaign - named in honor of Komen founder Nancy Brinker’s book Promise Me - was launched. The Jones Family Foundation committed to donating $1 million each year to Komen to help with their fight against breast cancer. The Cowboys also help their cause by participating in the Komen Dallas Race for the Cure. Each year, fans can join TEAM COWBOYS in the 5K race. The Cowboys players and cheerleaders also lend their support by attending registration events and getting fans to participate.
A home game is devoted every October in support of Komen and their efforts to raise awareness for breast cancer through PSAs, a halftime performance, and the players, coaches, and cheerleaders showing pink in their uniforms. You can join them in their support with Dallas Cowboys BCA Apparel and Accessories from the Official Dallas Cowboys Pro Shop, including T-shirts, hats, helmets, and footballs. All NFL proceeds go to the American Cancer Society. Together, we’ll stand in solidarity in the fight against breast cancer.
